BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY                            Bharathidasan University, established In 1982, Is situated In the historic  city of  Tiruchirappalli. The University carries out various educational research and teaching activities through Its departments, schools of excellence, centers and affiliated colleges. The university has jurisdiction over seven districts Including Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Perambalur, Thanjavur, Nagappatinam, liruvarur and Pudukkottal. Colleges located in these districts are affiliated to this university. The university campus Is located in an area of 1 000 acres of land 16 Km away from Tiruchirappalli junction on Trichy Pudukkottai National Highway.                                                      Department of Commerce and Financial Studies, Bharathidasan University                                           The Department of Commerce was created In Bharathidasan University In the year 1998 with the objective of promoting research, teaching and training in the frontier fields of Finance. The field of finance Is one area where lots of developments have taken place. It offers M.F.M. (Master of Financial Management) under Choice Based Credit System and Ph.D. programme In commerce as well as management under full time as well as part-tIme streams. The area of research In the department Includes corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, Investment management, capital markets, credit management, risk management and so on. In view of special significance of the programme and the available expertise and facilities developed over the period in the department, the department of commerce has been renamed as Department of Commerce and Financial Studies and its programme has been restyled as MBA (Financial Management). It is proposed to offer MBA (Financial Management) from the academic year 2007-08 onwards under CBCS. Our vision is to make the department an advanced center for financial studies of internatinal repute. In its pursuit of excellence, the department has plans to organize seminars, conferences and workshops regularly.   

CAUVERY COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, TlRUCHIRAPPALLI, INDIA                                                                                       Cauvery College for women, one of the first self-financing colleges in Tamlinadu was started in the year 1984-85 and is run by Reddy Educational Trust consisting of 48 trust members. They were the first private practitioners who fulfilled the basic goal by being true foster fathers of quality education, empowering and ultimately moulding young women to be the pillars of the society. This well equipped self-financing Institution recognized by UGC under 2(f) and 12(b), has set its goal as Imparting higher education to women students especially the first generation learners, to Inculcate knowledge of a high order and Instill In the students the motto to be the most excellent and highly potential in transforming the societal disequilibria Into a homeostasis for 2 decades from 1984 onwards. Since inception, our college has the unique distinction of having secured 115 University Ranks.

• Abstracts, not exceeding 100 words, should reach us on or before the deadline. Authors must clearly indicate the broad area (Track) mentioned above in which their papers could be considered.
• The registration could be made if you provide the name of the author and co-author if any, corresponding address, e-mail ID, fax, telephone number, title of the paper, DD particulars, etc in writing.
• The length of the manuscript should not exceed 10 - 12 pages, inclusive of table, figures, illustrations and references.
• The manuscripts will be subjected to blind review process. The decision of the reviewers would be final and binding.
• The participants may send a hardcopy of the manuscript together with the Floopy or CD (electronic version must be in MS Word). However, the participants may also submit their paper as an e-mail attachment using MS Word to Cauverycollege_try@rediffmail.com

Correspondence

• The use of e-mail is encouraged for all further correspondence including acceptance letter, invitation etc. 
• Acceptance letter cum Invitations will be sent to the delegates only through e-mail.

Review, Acceptance and Award

• Paper Sumitted to the Seminar will be reviewed through an anonymous multi-level review process.
• THE BEST PAPER AWARD HAS BEEN INSTITUTED TO ENCOURAGE QUALITY RESEARCH PAPERS.
• THREE AWARDS (FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD) WITH CITATIONS WILL BE GIVEN TO OUTSTANDING PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE SEMINAR.
• Authors of selected papers for award have to make presentation  without fall.
• All registered participants / paper presenters will be issued a Certificate of Participation.
• Only papers received before the last date will be considered for award.
• Accepted papers for presentation will be uploaded in the Cauvery College Website www.cauverycollege.ac.in on or before March 25th, 2007.

• A souvenir or CD consisting of the abstracts of all accepted papers will be released at the Seminar. The paper received on on or before the stipulated date may find a place in the Souvenir.  
• If the papers are considered to be of academic value by the panel of reviewers, with potential for practical applications, they will be published in the SMART Journal of Business Management Studies.

Registration Fee

• Rs. 500 per delegates from companies and other for - profit Organizations.
• Rs. 250 per delegate for Faculty delegates.
• Rs.150 per delegate for Faculty delegates.
• US $ 75 for International Participants (foreign delegates should pay registration fee in value equivalent to indian Rupees 3500 on the spot. the registration fee in foreign exchange will not be accepted.

The registration fee covers lunch, tea and seminar kit. the fee should be paid in the form of cash/crossed DD drawn in favour of  The Principal, Cauvery College payable at Tiruchirappalli. THE AUTHOR AND CO-AUTHOR SHOULD REGISTER SEPERATELY. The fee for the accompaniying person is the same as that of delegates of the respective catagory. the seminar kits will not be arranged for those who registrer after last date.

Travel and Accommodation                                    The participants are requested to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Tiruchirapalli has a wide choice of good hotels with room tariff ranging from Rs.200/- to Rs.2500/- per day per head. The accommodation will be arranged on full payment of room tariff in advance in addition to the delegate fee. No  TA & DA will be paid to be participants. An advance intimation about travel plan of the delegates will be much appreciated.

How to Reach the Seminar Venue                             Tiruchirapalli is located on the banks of the river Cauvery. Rockfort, Srirangam, Tiruvanaikovil and grand Anicut are some of the historical features of  the city.  The city of tiruchirapalli is located in Tamilnadu, which is on southern part of India. The city is also well known by its shorter form of "Trichy" and  it is located almost at mid point in the state of Tamil Nadu along the banks of Cauvery River.

The main campus of Cauvery College is located In the heart of the Trichy City . The simplest and most economical way to reach Cauvery college from Trichy central and Chatram bus stand Is by bus. Any city bus to central bus stand or chatram bus stand via Thilliai Nagar or woraiyur will take you to Thilliai Nagar or Annamalai nagar and in 5 minutes walk you can reach Cauvery college. The city / town buses are available every 5 minutes from Central Bus Stand and Chatram bus stand or Mainguard gate, Trichy. The executive way of reaching College will be hiring a taxi or auto. Taxis may charge around Rs.100/- while auto may charge Rs.25/-.
