   Cauvery College for Women contains 15 departments. They are Tamil, English, Commerce, Commerce with Computer Applications, Social Work, Business Administration, Mathematics, Physics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Food Service Management & Dietetics and Chemistry.
      The 226 Teaching Faculties were assessed by the students. The Statistical Analysis was Carried out in the following pattern: 

1. Data Collection: 

      Data was collected from all the Students. 

2. Questionnaire: 

     The Students were asked to evaluate on the varied attributes of teaching qualities on the basis of the following criteria:

  1. Covering syllabus in time

  2. Preparation for the class

  3. Communication

  4. Teacher’s Approachability

  5. Internal evaluation

  6. Assignment evaluation

  7. Opportunities for internship, student exchange, field visit

  8. Mentoring process

  9. Skill development

  10. Assessing the attainment of course outcome

  11. Mentor follow-up

  12. Concept formation

  13. Identification of strength

  14. Identification of weakness

  15. Review of Teaching learning process

  16. Methodology to enhance learning process

  17. Extracurricular activities

  18. Essential life skill

  19. ICT – tools usage by teachers

  20. Quality of Teaching learning process

      A maximum of two marks were awarded with 5 different levels of scores for each question. The highest score is 4 which stands for Excellent, 3 which express very Good, 2 which denotes Good, 1- Satisfactory, 0 Fair. 

1. Methodology:

         The Questionnaire was given to all the students in each class and the assessment was collected .The Calculation of staff assessment was done in two stages.

STAGE-I: CALCULATION OF INDIVIDUAL DEPARTMENT SCORE PERCENTAGE

Total Score of Each Criteria=(4* No of respondents for Excellent)+
(3* No of respondents for Very Good)+
(2* No of respondents for Good)+
(1* No of respondents for Satisfactory)+
(0* No of respondents for Fair)
Percentage=(Total Score of Each Criteria)/(5*Total No of Respondents)*100 

STAGE – II CALCULATION OF OVERALL PERCENTAGE

Overall Percentage of each staff was calculated by the following formula:
Percentage = (Sum of the Percentages)/10
Each Score Percentage = (Total scores / Total no of respondent)*100
Overall Percentage of each staff was calculated by the following formula:

Inference

The Statistical analysis portrays a very good scenario of our teaching staff members which is as  follows:
Number of Departments with percentage 90 is 3
Number of Departments whose percentage between 80-89 is 11
Number of Departments whose percentage between 70-79 is 1
